Six Vintage Jumbo Peanut Butter Jars
Item Details
A collection of six glass jars for Jumbo Peanut Butter, circa 1930s. The jars were manufactured by Cincinnati’s prolific Frank’s Tea & Spice Co. None of the jars have lids. The jars have a raised stripe surface texture with a portrait of an elephant, the brand’s name, and an ingredient list. Slogans such as "ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTE FOR JUMBO" and "ALL THE CHILDREN LIKE JUMBO" are raised on the base of each jar.
