Hand-Knotted Karabagh "Boteh" Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Karabagh wool rug. This rectilinear area rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, vermillion, sage, and sapphire. The field features three vertical panels, each populated with small boteh within larger boteh amid meandering geometric vines. The primary border contains a classic leaf and calyx pattern over ivory, flanked by sawtooth guard strips and meandering carnations. The rug has triple overcast edges and finishes in natural wool warp fringe. It is unmarked.
