German Hand-Colored Etching Map of Africa
Item Details
A German hand-colored etching map of Africa. This piece depicts a map of the continent circa 1852 with all landmarks and cities marked in German. Mounted under a double layer of white and pink matting, glass and presented in a brown and gold-tone wooden frame with hanging wire present to verso.
Condition
- discoloration at bottom center of Africa map, nicks and scratches on left side of frame; map is coming in frame; adhesive residue along all edges of back matting, chunks of matting missing around where nails applied.
