An oil painting on board still life with vegetables and a pitcher by listed artist Seymour Remenick (Michigan; 1923-1999). This piece depicts a bundle of radishes, a cabbage and a pitcher atop a wooden surface. This work is unsigned by the artist. Presented without glass, housed in a rippled wooden frame.

Seymour Remenick received his formal artistic training at the Tyler School of Fine Art 1940-1942 and the Hans Hoffman Art School 1946-1948. Remenick is known for his combined styles of abstraction and realism. His typically painted landscape, still-lifes, figures, and portraits. Remenick’s work can be found at the Smithsonian American Art Museum Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. His work was exhibited in the 1955 American Painting Exhibition, Rome, Italy, the 1956 11 Contemporary American Painters, Paris, France, and the Art Institute of Chicago to name a few.
