A collection of hand-painted Masonic porcelain to include a serving bowl, handled mug and a matched set comprised of an open creamer, three cups and one saucer. The bowl and mug commemorate Holland Lodge No. 8, located in New York City and recognized as one of the foremost Masonic lodges in the United States. Produced by Mottahedeh, a manufacturer of fine china with a history of diplomatic ties including Presidential commissions, the pieces depict various symbols related to Freemasonry painted to all sides and are stamped in green ink to the bottom. The matched set also features symbols and signs associated with Freemasonry, yet the undersides are unmarked by the maker.
