Framed Antique Needlepoint Sampler with Unused Shopping List
Item Details
An antique needlework sampler with an unused ‘My Shopping List’ notebook or pad. Housed behind glass and framed by wood with a wire for hanging, the sampler bears an unidentifiable signature and date along the bottom edge. It depicts two series of chronological letters of the alphabet above the images of various figures and animals below. The shopping list comes housed in its’ original box, bound at the spine and tied with red yarn, featuring a charming rhyme to remember to write things down as they come to mind printed on the lid of the box as well as the cover page of the paper pad. - fair to poor condition of needlework; signs of water damage and/or discoloration inside frame; appears to have missing and worn thread/letters
- shopping list booklet unused but showing wear and signs of age mostly to box
