A Japanese-style bunka shishu embroidery piece. This piece depicts a Japanese woman in a purple kimono with pink blossoming branches to the right. The piece is marked ‘Gloria’ in purple to the right of the woman’s feet. It is double-matted in blue and violet and set in a black composite wood frame with a wire to the verso.

Condition

- frame has minor scratches throughout; blue mat is acid-burned; dust cover is punctured.
