A vintage silver sterling elephant jewelry repurposed necklace with a cable of wrapped thread and cylindrical sterling silver beads. Nine large sterling silver medallions hang from the rope. These medallions are attributed as dowry pieces, likely part of the abundant jewelry that adorn elephants during times of celebration. On each piece is the repousse image of a venerated Maharani with black hair and pink and gold dress. The medallions are further accented by flowers and gold tone borders. The total weight is 41.59 ozt.
