A signed art glass Mallard by Bruce Dimitruk of Vines Art Glass in Bandon, OR. Dimitruk began his career as a glass artist at the renowned Lundberg Art Glass Studio in Santa Cruz, CA. He acquired Vines Art Glass, a respected studio since 1982, from artist Roger Vines in 2004. The Mallard is a good example of Dimitruk’s work, with smooth lines of iridescent glass, speckled and mottled in places with shards of colored glass that have been manipulated by hand tools. The piece is signed and dated ’06 to the bottom by Dimitruk for Vines.
