19th Century Pine Commode in the Form of Chest of Drawers

An antique mid 19th century commode, in pine, in the Federal taste. This unique piece is in the form of a chest of drawers with painted drawer fronts and applied brackets and brass handles. It features a lift up top to reveal the seat with a metal lid covering the central hole, and rises upon bracket feet. No discernible maker’s mark was found.
