Antique Mahogany Secretary Desk

Item Details

Beautiful and intricate in detail, this early 1900’s genuine reproduction of a Hepplewhite tambour secretary desk is burled mahogany and has a tooled leather top with ethereal gold leaf detailing. Desk features a warm reddish-brown finish, 6 open letter cubbies and one cubby with door. 3 smaller drawers with dovetail joinery, oval brass pulls, and four square tapered fluted legs with caster feet. Recessed front tambour rolls in from sides to hide letter cubbies and cabinet. The exquisite marquetry work includes ribbons and garlands, medallions, band inlay throughout and shield escutcheon. Main storage drawer is generous in size, making it easy to tuck your laptop out of site.
Consider Item #822, the Antique Victorian Parlor Chair with Original Needlepoint Seat, as the perfect accompaniment to this piece.
