A lithograph after an oil painting titled The Blind Woman in a Poppy Field by Bruno Piglhein (German, 1848-1894). The original was completed in 1889 and is now housed at the Neue Pinakothek art museum in Munich, Germany. This print depicts a blind peasant woman carrying a water jug and a long cane as she passes through a field of brilliant red poppies. It bears the artist’s printed signature in the lower right corner. Set in an ornately carved wood frame with rope attached to the verso for hanging. - small tear to right side of paper; some areas of paint loss with age; frame is cracked in several places; chipping and fading to frame finish; frame does not have paper backing.
