A framed 1989 exhibition poster from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, celebrating the work of well listed French Impressionist artist Claude Monet (1840-1926). The poster advertises the Monet’s Years at Giverny MMA exhibit, which ran from April 22-July 9, 1978. The print features an offset lithograph image to the center after Monet’s 1916-26 oil painting Water Lilies (Nympheas). The image is bordered in white with the exhibit title, dates and location printed to the bottom. The print is presented under glass in a cream wooden frame with hanging loops to the verso.

Condition

- foxing and discoloration to edges of print; dust and debris to glass; frame would benefit from cleaning; abrasions, staining and scratching to frame finish, especially to edges and corners; frame does not have paper backing.
