A large-scale contemporary Chinese gouache painting on paper, artist seals and additional calligraphed characters to upper left and right corners, with an additional seal to the lower right. The image depicts a stoic, beautiful woman wearing fine jewelry and clothing washing a basket of yarn at the edge of a riverbed brimming with lotus flowers and aquatic plants. This work is mounted behind a cream silk mat, under glass in a faux bamboo cast frame.
