1861 Harper's Weekly Wood Engraving "The Defense of Lexington"

A hand-tinted wood engraving on paper, published by Harper’s Weekly as part of the Pictorial History of the Civil War, September 1861. Titled to lower margin with an off-white single mat presentation. Housed behind glass within a marbled finish frame with goldtone borders and a wire for hanging to the reverse.
