Pair of McKenney and Hall Hand-Colored Folio Lithographs of Native Americans
Item Details
A pair of hand-colored lithographs on paper from the portfolio a History of the Indian Tribes of North America by Thomas L. McKenney (1785-1859) and James Hall (1793-1868). One folio depicting a female is titled below portrait Rant-Che-Wai-Me, the other titled Stum-A-Nu (A Flat Head Boy). Both are printed and colored by J.T. Bowen, Published by D. Rice and A.N. Hart, Philadelphia. The couple are unframed.
