Japanese Porcelain Satsuma Moriage Urn
Item Details
A Japanese porcelain satsuma moriage urn. Features a cream tone under glaze with hand painted decoration in rust, maize, green, burgundy and blue tones. One side of the urn features a samurai and the other features a floral decoration. Features gilt and white detailing in relief throughout. The urn features two fish-like handles. The remnants of a foil sticker remain on the bottom.
Condition
Light wear noted, three glazed over notches in the top, most likely as part of the decoration and firing process and not chips.
