An antique American Empire-style gentleman’s chest with mirror. This selection includes a rectangular mirror with beveled frame flanked at the bottom by two scrolling side brackets, resting atop a step back three drawer element with locking center drawer. Below the drawered element is a top with three drawers with wood knob pulls, metal escutcheons in the centers, flanked on each side by scrolled stiles which protrude out from the piece and end in bracket feet. This multi-part mahogany chest includes flame mahogany veneers and hand dovetail joinery.
