Item Details
A pair of Alexander Backer Co. chalkware cameos. This set includes a male and female neoclassical style bust in high relief to the center of oval backings, presented in oval frames. There are scrolled acanthus leaves and flowers with a brass tone finish around the edges of the black frame. There are wire hooks to verso of each and a label to the female cameo marked ‘ABCO©, Hand Painted, Made in USA, Alexander Backer Co, NY’.
Condition
- scruffs to each; nicks throughout; scratches to versos.
