Pair of Signed and Numbered Prints Depicting Native Americans
Item Details
A pair of signed and numbered offset lithograph prints, after original paintings by artist Gregory Perillo (American, b.1929). The prints both depict Native Americans. One print depicts a man carrying a woman who is wrapped in a blanket. The print is numbered 156/325, and is hand-signed in pencil to the lower right border ‘Gregory Perillo’. The print is also marked along the bottom edge ‘A Limited Edition by Vague Shadows – 1986, Artaffects Ltd.’ The second print depicts a young Native American child comforting his or her younger sibling. It is hand-titled Babysitter in pencil to the lower left margin, and is hand-signed by the artist, ‘Gregory Perillo’, to the lower right, along with edition number 297/3000. Both prints are also signed in plate to the lower right area of the prints, ‘Perillo’.
Condition
- Both prints have edge wear, scuffs to margins, curled or bent corners
