Antique William and Mary Style Gossip Bench

An antique William and Mary style gossip bench. This ornately carved piece features a curved crest rail over a carved animal face with acanthus leaf and scrolling flower detail with three carved back slats over a rectangular bench rising on carved, tapered front support resting on an exposed bottom shelf. The bench is attached to a square top storage unit with carved trim over a single drawer with knob handle and floral detail carved to the facade above a cabinet door with teardrop handle opening to a shelf all resting on ball feet. There are no visible maker’s marks or labels to this piece.
