"American Independence Collection" China Cabinet by American Drew

Item Details

A Chippendale style china cabinet by American Drew from the American Independence Collection. The mahogany-finished case features a reticulated, broken-arch pediment centered by a flame-and-urn finial above a dentil-molded and blind-fretwork frieze. Directly below are four glazed doors with geometric mullions, which open to two glass shelves. The lower section includes six machine-dovetailed drawers and two doors complete with brass tone hardware. One drawer interior is marked ‘American Drew / American Independence Collection / Inspired by the Original Furnishings of Independence Hall’. The whole piece rises on a molded base.
