Color Photogravure after James Lynwood Palmer "Kellsboro Jack"
Item Details
A 1934 second state color photogravure on paper reproduction of an original 1933 painting by very well-listed British artist James Lynwood Palmer (1868 – 1941), titled Kellsboro Jack. The print depicts the racehorse standing with several figures and a jockey in a dramatic hilly landscape. The print is signed in-plate by the artist to the lower left, and publishing information and information about the horse are printed to the upper and lower margins. The print is matted in white and presented behind glass in a wooden frame with black and gold tone finishes. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
