Offset Lithographs and Etching of Native American Scenes
Item Details
A selection of Native American scenes containing a pair of offset lithographs and an etching. Included are two offset lithographs on paper which depict Native Americans posed in a canyon with their bows, hatchets and spears drawn. A superimposed portraiture is seen to the center of each vertical composition. They are presented under glass in a gold tone metal frame with sawtooth brackets to the verso. Also included is an etching by Bill O’Neil, titled War Chief. It depicts a figure rearing a horse to stop on a dirt road. To the margins is printed information denoting artist, title and date (1975). It is backed by cardboard and is protected with plastic shrinkwrap.
Condition
- protective plastic over etching torn and taped at top; both frames have scuffing throughout; images buckling; one frame has uneven lower left corner.
Dimensions
- measures cardboard; one offset lithograph measures: 8.25" w x 20.0" h; both measure approximately identical.
