George Brehm Antique Graphite Illustration of an Interior Scene
Item Details
An original antique graphite drawing on ivory wove paper of a Victorian interior scene by George Brehm (1878 – 1966). In the drawing, a woman plays piano as a man walks across the room, apparently in distress. Music is strewn across the floor and he holds his fist to his face. The drawing is signed illegibly in pencil to the lower center margin. It is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with brushed silver tone finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
Condition
- paper is yellowed with age and has light foxing developing across its surface.
