Louis Davril Original Signed Color Aquatint Etching
Item Details
An aquatint etching with areas of mezzotint texture and a la poupée coloring on paper by French artist Louis Davril (1873 – 1962). The print depicts a hunched figure walking through a craggy landscape marked with twisting trees and brushy grasses. The print is signed and titled illegibly to the lower corners in pencil. It is presented behind antique hand-rolled glass in a wooden frame with cast embellishments and a hanging wire.
Condition
- paper has yellowed slightly with age.
