“Detective Comics” Featuring First Scarface/Ventriloquist Appearance

A collection of Modern Age Detective Comics from the publisher D.C. This collection contains thirty-three comics with the key issues being issue 583 (February 1988) which marked the first appearance of the villain duo Scarface and The Ventriloquist and issue 608 (November 1989) which marked the first appearance of the character Anarky whose stories often focus on the impact of governments or corporations. This collection contains issues 571-574 (February – May 1987), 579-586 (October 1987 – May 1988), 589-608 (August 1981 – November 1989) and 612 (May 1990). A few of the comics are loose with the remainder being held in protective plastic sleeves and some being supported with cardboard backings.
Condition
- various degrees of light to moderate wear to the spines and covers of the comics; the majority of the comics are protected from further wear by being held in plastic sleeves with many supporting cardboard backings.
