An antique 19th-century hand-colored lithograph titled Vale Royal, subtitled The Seat of the Right Honorable Lord Delamore by English lithographer William Gauci after the original drawing by Augustus Butler, circa 1850. This image is from a collection of lithographs titled Mansions of England and Wales —Cheshire. The image depicts the Vale Royal Abbey in the distance before an expanse of pastoral ground, sheep and a shepherd in the foreground. Artist names and title are printed to the lower margin. This work is mounted behind off-white mat, under glass in a wood frame with a distressed gilt finish. Label to the verso does not pertain to this work.

Condition

- discoloration across print and mat. Finish of frame is intentionally distressed with additional wear.
