Item Details

A hand woven Persian wool on cotton area rug. It features a central medallion with pendants against a red field with blooming vases and additional floral motifs. The corners have multi-colored spandrels with additional foliage and floral designs. Enclosing the field is a dark border with palmettes and rosettes; there are several pairs of guard borders in green, blues, whites, and pinks. To the verso, there is an attached label which states the origin as Hamadan and Iran.
