Imperial Jingdezhen Porcelain Hand-Painted Plates
Item Details
A collection of Imperial Jingdezhen porcelain hand-painted plates from the series Beauties of the Red Mansion. This group of Chinese decorative plates features ‘Hsi-feng’ (1987), ‘Pao-chai’ (1986), ‘Miao-yu’ (1988), ‘Li-wan’ (1988), ‘Yuan-chun’ (1986), ‘Ying-chun’ (1985), ‘Hsi-chun’ (1987), and ‘Tai-yu’ (1988) all designed by artist Zhao Huimin. Each plate features a beautiful woman with extensive information printed on the verso. Seven of the eight-piece group are presented in round wooden frames marked Van Hygan Smythe.

- some scratches and nicks to wooden frames; faint surface markings throughout.
