A rare original watercolor and gouache painting on paper by celebrated wildlife artist and conservationist John A. Ruthven (b. 1924) titled White Footed Mouse and Russulas. This painting depicts a charming scene of two white-footed mice under the safe cover of a patch of wild russula mushrooms. Signed and copyrighted in pencil to lower right. Housed behind glass with a white-on-white double mat, presented inside a decorative giltwood frame with hanging wire and artist’s title sticker to the verso.
