An original watercolor painting on heavyweight rag paper by listed French artist Colonel Raoul Monory (b. 1886). The piece depicts sailboats docked in a harbor with a town distant in the background. This piece is presented under glass in a black wooden frame. The verso features a wire hanger and an estate stamp that reads, ‘From the Estate of Colonel Raoul Monory, Officer of the Legion of Honor.’ Monory was originally a colonel in the French army and began studying art under Jean Gobaille and Etienne Dinet after his service in World War I.
