A vintage hand-knotted Kerman wool and cotton area rug. It features a deep wine red lozenge filled with a blue central medallion and pendants along with filler floral motifs. There are corner spandrels in a light blue with scrolled edges. Surrounding the field, there is a dark blue border with interchanging floral cartouche motifs. To the verso, there is a label stating the origin of the rug as Kerman and country as Iran.
