An original oil painting on academy board by well-listed Cincinnati artist Louis Charles Vogt (1864-1939), circa 1930s. The painting depicts a yellow house set atop green hilside strewn with trees on n idyllic sunny day in Cincinnati, Ohio. The home was on Ohio Avenue in Clifton, and no longer stands. Signed ‘L.C. Vogt’ in dark blue paint to lower left. Housed inside a rustic wooden frame gilt interior border and wire for hanging to the reverse.

Louis Charles Vogt was well known in Cincinnati for painting the surrounding area, and often took on commissions for the homes of prominent Cincinnatians.
