Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of Serchio. This impressionist style painting depicts the aforementioned river in Italy from a winding dirt road, which is populated by a canopy of trees and a silhouetted mountainscape to the distance. An illegible artist signature is seen to the lower right corner appearing to read, ‘Jordan’. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame featuring gessoed ornamentation and a linen inlay liner. To the verso is affixed hanging wire, an informational tag and handwritten measurements.

- frame is scratched throughout; paint is wearing off.
