An untitled, original oil on canvas painting of a landscape by Ohio-born artist Karl Kappes (1861-1943). The scene depicts a richly colored autumnal landscape with a tree-lined stream tapering off from the center of the canvas. The piece is signed by hand in maroon paint to lower right. It comes housed inside a beveled edge wooden frame, without glass, with a wire for hanging to the reverse.
