Early 1900s Metal Toy Cannon

Item Details

An antique metal toy cannon. This metal cannon called a ‘Bang-Toy’ operated by adding carbide into the chamber which then mixed with water inside of the cannon forming a gas which caused a loud ‘bang’. The cannon is green with black wheels and features a sticker on its top which reads ‘Warning: Do not fire cannon closer than 2 feet from EARS or EYES – Do Not Use Indoors’.

Condition

- consistent with age; some deterioration around back of cannon; wheels offset; rust; untested.
