A hand-knotted Persian area rug. The rug features a central medallion in a palette of cream, deep red, yellow and taupe that sits on top of a deep brown field. The field is covered in floral palmettes and medallions in a complementary palette with a spandrel to each corner. The field is surrounded by a compound resolved border that features a turtle pattern throughout in red, cream, and sage that sits on top of an off white field with a wool fringe to either end. The rug is not tagged.
