Socialist Realist Cast Metal Sculpture

A small-scale sculpture in the style of Socialist Realism. Constructed of a cast mixed metal alloy this depicts a partial figure of a muscular man, with bare chest, emerging from a craggy rock form. He holds a long gun in one hand, and a hammer in the other. It has been finished in a brushed silver tone. The hollow interior is marked within the surface what appears to read ‘E’ or ‘B’, however no clear artist attribution could be made.

Condition

- inconsistencies of sculpture consistent with it being a hollow cast; some surface wear.
