A Mexican original oil and gouache painting on paper titled The Virgin Mary. This painting depicts a body profile of the Virgin Mary in a blue robe set against a background of orange, red, and brown. The piece is signed by the artist ‘Arturi V. G.’ to the bottom right. It is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a mahogany finish and black backing. There are large brackets affixed to verso with a label reading ‘The Virgin Mary, Mexico City, March 13, 2004, Blessed by Bishop J. Peter Sartain’.
