Item Details
A pair of oil paintings on board of genre scenes. One painting depicts an impressionist scene of a woman doing laundry before a cliffside house near a quiet body of water. The work includes a signature to the lower right corner, which reads ‘A. Ferrant.’ The other work depicts a tavern populated by men, women and a baby who stares towards the viewer. Both paintings are presented under glass in a stained wooden frame with hanging hardware seen to the verso.
Condition
- frames are worn; craquelure present to painted surface; backing of frames stained and punctured.
