Vintage Porcelain "Sinead" Irish Dresden Lace Figurine C. 1978

A Muller-Volkstedt Irish Dresden figurine. The piece was made of porcelain in the style of antique Dresden from Germany. The factory moved to Ireland after world war II. This figurine is titled Sinead and is part of the Emerald collection. The dress was produced using a method of dipping actual lace into porcelain slip before firing. The seated figure in a green lace dress plays a gilded harp. There are painted and printed marks on the underside reading ‘MZ Irish Dresden 1978 Sinead Ireland Emerald Collection_’.
