Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas titled Grandaughter’s Gown by Lydian Dunham Fabian (1857-1947). This oil painting features a gray-haired woman in a white bonnet and gray gown sewing a dress with a fireplace to the background. The piece is signed by hand in red paint to the lower right ‘L. Dunham Fabian’ and is encompassed by an ornate gilt wood frame which includes a gold tone plaque which reads ’Grandaughter’s Gown Dunham E. Fabian’ at its front and hanging wire on its verso.
Condition
- paint is crackling throughout canvas; chips and wear to frame; no back paper; residue along frame edges to verso; bent nails.
