Vintage Copeland Brown Transfer Ware

A collection of vintage brown transfer ware by Copeland. This set includes approximately fifty-three pieces. It features a pierced dish, six mugs, a large teacup, a small serving platters, a vegetable bowl, four bread and butter plates, three fruit bowls, two cereal bowls, a salad plate, seven dinner plates, two covered dishes, a large serving platter, a gravy boat, two medium serving platters, and two scalloped dishes. These transfer printed pieces feature brown ruin structures to the center and foliage and acorns around the edges. The underside of each is stamped ‘W.T. Copeland & Sons, Stroke Upon Trent,’ which dates the pieces between 1867 and 1890.

- light wear to the undersides; all would benefit from cleaning.
