A lithograph fire control map of New Zealand’s Whakarewarewa Forest, issued by the Forestry Corporation. The map shows various scenic reserves, lakes, boundaries, roads, tracks, streams, scrubland, water points, picnic sites and more. Points of interest include Lake Tarawera, Rotorua City, Lake Okataina, Lake Rotokakahi and Lake Tikitapu. The map is double matted in off-white and green and presented under glass in a black frame with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- chips, nicks and scratches to frame surface; metal wire wall mount is broken off to one side; fading to map with age.
