Alexander Calder Limited Edition Lithograph for WFUNA Anniversary

A limited edition lithograph by Alexander Calder made for the 30th anniversary of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). Completed in 1975, this work was commissioned by the WFUNA to commemorate the Association’s 30th anniversary. It features three pyramids outlined in black, filled with flat colors and a sun hovering above. The 13-cent United Nations stamp is present to the lower left along with a ‘First Day of Issue’ stamp from the United Nations dated March 12, 1976. The print is numbered 289 out of an edition of 1500 to the lower left. The artist’s in-plate signature is present to the lower right. The print is mounted on a black surface under glass; with white matting, it is presented in a black metallic frame.

Condition

- slight discoloration in print; small stain to center of left side, right above lowest black line in composition.
