Item Details
A batik by James Kirkell, titled The Harvest. This work depicts an abstract composition featuring a mustard yellow and auburn background with a white relief of wheat crops to the right margin. The batik is presented under acrylic glass beneath dual-layered matting in a metal frame. To the verso is an affixed hanging wire, press release from The Jewish Center of Greater Buffalo, a written title and date (1975-1977).
Condition
- minor scratches and abrasions on frame; water damage on lower margins of mat; residue to lower left corner; backing of frame wrinkled and stained.
