A hand-painted porcelain figurine, depicting a romantic couple wearing eighteenth-century costume. The figures both have porcelain lace adorning their clothing. The man wears a dark pink frock coat and plays a stringed instrument to the lady, who wears a green gown with elaborate lace cuffs and trim. Both are also hand-painted with multi-colored flowers and other designs. The figurines and the base are accented with matte gold lustre. The underside is stamped ‘Dresden Art Made in Germany’ along with a maker’s mark depicting a green crown with ‘Frankenthal’ below.

Condition

May have tiny areas of chips to lace; faint surface marks in areas, underside of base; gold lustre may have faint wear
