WWII Bulgarian PVHZ Helmet

Item Details

A Second World War era steel helmet from the Bulgarian PVHZ, the ‘Protivovazdushna i Himimicheska Zashtita’ – Anti-Air and Chemical Defense. It was supplied to Bulgaria by its ally Germany, and is a copy of the Luftschutz (Air Defense) helmet. Its design is a variant of the classic German ‘Stahlhelm’, with a shield motif to the right side with Bulgarian colors and the Cyrillic initials ‘ПВХЗ’. There is a leather liner to the interior which appears to be non-original.
