Antique Chinese Gilt and Polychromed Wooden Carving
Item Details
A framed antique Chinese gilt and polychrome wooden carving. The small carving features a small bird perched on the branch of blossoming flowers, surrounded by a floral border. A previous seller has attributed the piece to the Tongzhi reign (T’ung Chih 1851-1874) of the Qing dynasty and that the carving originates from a wedding bed, however, this is unconfirmed. The carving is presented on a silk mat and is housed in a wooden frame.
